Come back to the stage with a brave step:
find your clown and it's game with an audience!
Open to those with some or no clown experience.
This is the course to find your own clown, getting experience in solo, duo and trio clown improvisations, develop your clown’s relationship with an audience; allowing and following your clown’s physical impulses and using it to move an audience or make them smile or laugh.
Playing with the red nose allows you to practice the connection to your relentlessly playful and brave self starting from the impulses that come from your body. The skill of a playful, brave and listening body is transferable to play in any style of acting.
At the end of the workshop an audience is invited to come and share beautiful moments of naivety, love and laughter.

Play with Commedia half-masks to find who are these characters today and what games they have to play with an audience!
Open to those with some or no experience playing with masks.
This is the course to expand the range of your expression, improve your physical storytelling and skill in playing heightened characters. In a playful and wild workshop I share my technical knowledge in mime and mask play from the Lecoq and Troupe Courage pedagogy. Be prepared to sweat and rediscover the comedic, tragic and poetic movement of each mask and what they can say and play today.
At the end of each workshop an audience is invited to come and play along with the masks.
I am an associate artist from Troupe Courage, led by Katrien Van Beurden and you can check their website here for shows and intensive workshops. This workshop is a good way to be introduced to the kind of ground-breaking work in mask play led by Troupe Courage.
CLOWN+
(For people who have done the clown course)

Explore your clown's world, practice with the audience and create scenes.
Open to those that have done the clown course.
Every clown is unique and has a unique world. In this course we will expand the range of your clown's expression and how they discover the world. We will go even deeper on clown technique and explore your sense of timing, contrast and game. After having the foundation of connecting to your relentless will to play, this course revisits some of the work done before and pushes forward into the poetic dimension of clowning. We might go tragic, we might find satire and darkness - it will be absurd and... political. A political dimension arrives when the clown shares their discovery of the world with the audience.
At the end of the workshop an audience is invited again to come and share and try out what you have discovered.

CLOWN GYM
January, Fabruary, March 2025
Monthly practice for clowns that have done the Clown course
Place and time for The circle members only
Have you put some clowning in this week?
Clowning is a practice. The Clown Gym is a place and time for clowns to meet in a playground where anything can happen and something must happen.
This is the space to refresh your clown technique, develop a routine, try out an idea or to not have any ideas and generate material from the void. Once a month, the gym invites audience to play around with the clowns.
The gym is tightly run by Coach M. If you are interested in joining the gym, just drop the coach a message in this website's contact option.
“Micaela’s soaring knowledge, unflinching dedication and extensive experience in her craft make her clowning classes feel like a sky dive into an meta-theatrical landscape of absurdity and wonder; A new world of possibilities. She is an expert at what she does. I remember her classes would reach way out beyond the walls of the studio and out into the world. Many doors opened for me as an artist thanks to her meticulous attention to detail and nurturing temperament as a tutor. I will never forget my time with her.” Sam Baxter, Actor
